New Alerting Options – including the addition of SMS Alerts
Why consider Alerting?
You now have the ability to receive email alerts for a variety of scenarios intended to keep your MedixSafe Account Administrator up to speed with the overall operation of your narcotics safes.
With our 2.1 release coming out in July 2026, you now have the ability to customize what types of events you wish to be alerted about – simply by toggling alerting choices as seen in the sample screenshot below. Think of alerting as “an additional” layer of visibility over and above what you can already see in the MedixSafe web console.
We have also introduced the ability to include SMS alerts in addition to existing email alerts.
All alerting settings can now be configured by clicking on the “gear” icon in the left-hand navigation bar of the web console:
Email Notifications
Any authorized individual who has either Account Admin or Group Admin access can automatically opt-in for email alerts directly from the Console.
Account Admins and Group Admins can also designate additional email addresses to receive email alerts. There is no limit as to the number of emails that could be designated to receive these types of alerts.
SMS Notifications
Any authorized individual who has either Account Admin or Group Admin access can automatically opt-in for SMS alerts from the Console. However, there is no option to add additional phone numbers to receive SMS alerts if they are not already Account Admins or Group Admins.
