Lot Number on Narcotics Records

What Is It?

You can now add a lot number when recording narcotics. The lot number appears on the narcotic record and in inventory and event details — making it easier to trace a specific batch across your Agency.

Why it matters

When a manufacturer issues a recall or you need to isolate a specific batch, “which vials were affected and where are they now?” has to be a fast question to answer. Capturing lot numbers on the record — and carrying them through inventory and event details — means you can trace a batch precisely instead of pulling every vial to check by hand.
